The air was crisp, blue sky and sunshine...just beautiful.  These kind of days make my job extra enjoyable.  Everyone was out and about.  Perfect day for dog walks which I love this time of year.  The change of seasons invigorates the soul.

In between pet sits and dog walks I went to Dog Day Afternoon in Carrier Park.  What a great event with lots of pups of different breeds, shapes and sizes.  It was so much fun it was hard to leave.  Asheville Area Professional Pet Sitters Association, which I am apart of, set up a booth.  All the local rescue agencies where there with so many adorable pups to adopt.  There were food trucks, music, and many dog information/product booths.  Plus lots of dog treats :)  The pups were having a good time too. If you didn't go this year, you and your pup(s) should come next year.

This weekend was also the farm tour with ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agricultural Program).  My mom and I went and visited a few farms.  We had a blast.  It is so interesting hearing the farm's story, getting a tour, tasting some of their products and collecting ideas for your own garden.  I mark my calendar way in advance for the farm tour.  I love knowing about the farms I support at my local market. (Usually City Market)

Needless to say, this past weekend was jam packed with lots of critter, good food, exploring new farms, and being apart of our wonderful community.  How lucky we are to live in Asheville.

We ended the weekend with having friends over for a bon fire and sweetest ending...smores!
